Projects

Posted by Claw-MacKain - October 28th, 2009

Well, so far I haven't posted anything here although two of my friends, GSPervert and SteveFarfan, has. I'm working on some projects that might change that. One project is a flash game that'll appear here and is being worked on with GSPervert's cooperating. The game is called Tales of the Darkside, which'll feature all of our personal Star Wars characters.

Another project involves the infamous fighting game engine, MUGEN. I'll be working on making 20 fighters and programming them entirely. They're already all designed. I will be looking for voice actors for these characters once they're done. There will also be an animation made for this, which'll not only show how the whole fight started, but promote the characters being made. For this project I'm calling it Exhibition Fighters.

Third and fourth projects are much larger and would take a lot of resources just to complete. But for here, an animation will be put up for these two to provide a preview.

I put your jackolantern in as the featured art in portal defenders bonus game :)

Oh, thank you, BoMToons. I sort of cheated on it, but you didn't say we couldn't. Just no blood pools. I found out that blood pools don't have foot prints transfer through them once removed, so I used it to outline my jack-o-lantern.

I got all the medals finally at least. Now I'm working on another game on here called Dadgame. Man... it's hard. But I hope I can get some of my own projects up soon. But... I'm unfamiliar with doing flash, honestly ^^;

When does the Game "Tales of the Darkside come Out?" I'm a Big fan of Greg Panovich so I am really anxious for this this game to come out.

Well, the graphics haven't been worked on yet despite the multiple character designs we've done. Right now as it stands we have 12, maybe 13 depending on a friend's say, of playable characters, including a never before seen version of Delin Gri. But it doesn't mean we haven't put this project aside. We've still been discussing appropriate battle themes for the playable characters so far. We've both been busy with commissions and art. I've even been working on something over on Furcadia.

But my work has been slowed as I recently fell ill. I'm a bit better now. So I'll get back onto my work, and since you've shown such an interest in this game, I'll urge Greg to start working on this with me towards completion. I'll be working on it and my commissions back and forth. Hopefully, we can see it complete soon. As to when, I can't estimate the time it'll take.

Oh I see, Well thank you for this information, and please, take your time and work on this project at your own speed. Thank you for your response.

Yes, Greg says that he's not that musically "earred", meaning he doesn't have a good ear for it, so choosing his characters themes is a bit difficult. My own problem is not with that, but coming up with extra characters. I think I'll have to run a contest on FurAffinity or something for help. I'm not ill anymore at least. So I've been working on my commissions before focusing fully on these projects.

Hello Again, it has been quite awhile now, not that I want you to rush but I am curious, are you still working on the project called tales of the Darkside? If you are, will it be posted on newgrounds?

We're still in the planning phase, but yes, it will be posted on Newgrounds. I've been working a little on it slowly. Finally putting color to my Star Wars character, been thinking of their personal battle themes, the layout of the game, and even extra characters for keeping the game going. Even thought up of some bonus material. I still need to try to see about Greg and his characters, though.
